Red Cross volunteer, student, French speaker, Zirtual Assistant. When I spoke to Lisa she had an air about her that immediately puts you at ease. She said the weather was warm and that since it was cherry blossom season the world outside was la vie en rose. Which is what Lisa brings to Zirtual and her clients; a daily dose of a special something that makes sure they are getting a slice of Lisa’s version of the good life. Lisa is a pillar when it comes to the Zirtual team and adds a unique perspective and upbringing that further defines what and who Zirtual is.
In her free time Lisa studies at Georgetown where she is working on her Masters in Conflict and Peace Studies. She works with a professor and does research on United States laws and compares them to other developed countries throughout the world. When she’s not pouring over law readings, Lisa can be found volunteering for the Red Cross working in their security section where she briefs people that are about to be deployed. Lisa hopes that one day she can be apart of the International Committee for the Red Cross in Geneva to aid in responses to conflict situations. To get her closer to this future aspiration Lisa has learned how to speak French. This skill has proved to be just another tool in Lisa’s batman like belt of Zirtual assistantry.
So in between crime and compassion, where does Zirtual fall in? Lisa says everywhere. What Lisa loves about Zirtual is that she has been able to follow her passions as well as work for a company that she can believe in. She can’t imagine working for a place that wasn’t as supportive as Zirtual has been for her to follow her dreams. Lisa is a special member of the Zirtual team, in fact, Lisa has been on board since last July as the very first assistant along with Zirtual’s Founder, Maren. Lisa said she got the job by chance, and even though she wasn’t local in San Francisco, Maren could tell she would be perfect for the team through just a quick chat online. Lisa has done everything from booking travel, providing research, and most notably has recently compiled a definitive list of cute animal couples as a task for her client. She’s been able to handle it all and continue her education and her volunteer work. As the summer approaches we’re getting closer to hitting our one year mark with Lisa. All of her clients and us at Zirtual couldn’t be more happy to have her on board.
