Apple just announced the beta version of Siri. At Zirtual, we’re pretty stoked about this for a couple of reasons. First, it’s very exciting new technology that makes everyone’s life easier. Second, it’s a big step forward for the concierge space—the same space Zirtual is aiming to be the leader in.
We are huge Apple proponents. We all own MacBooks, iPods, and iPhones. Heck, Erik would even buy Apple deodorant if they made it.
Yet as cool as Siri is, there are just some things that are better handled by a real person—one who knows you and your preferences like the back of their hand.

Siri can tell you if it’s rainy in San Francisco; your dedicated Zirtual assistant can find the nearest North Face store, call to see if they have that rain coat in your size, pay for it using your secure credit information, and have it delivered to the your hotel.
Siri can find you the nearest Italian restaurant; your dedicated Zirtual assistant can research the best local Italian cuisine, call to set a reservation for you and three friends, contact each of your friends with the details, and coordinate with the sommelier to have your 2007 bottle of Continuum corked at your table.
Siri can call your fiance so you can tell her how much you love her; your dedicated ZA can show your fiance how much you love her by finding you an intimate getaway resort for your anniversary, book a snorkeling adventure off the coast of Hawaii, and arrange to have flowers and wine sent to your honeymoon suite.
There’s just something magical about having a real personal concierge to handle all the little tasks that clutter up your day. With Zirtual, you’ll get that personal touch that Siri can’t provide, allowing you to build a relationship with your dedicated Zirtual assistant.
Zirtual opened it’s wooden beta doors a few short weeks ago to only 100 people so we could test our service. It’s gone unreal so far and we’re almost finished this round of testing with only a few spots remaining. If you want to lock in the current Zirtual pricing—for ever—and begin spending more time on the important parts of your work, or just hanging out with family and friends (you’ll have more free time, remember that?), then head over to Zirtual and grab one of our few remaining spots before we come to our senses and up our prices.
